About John Daenke

John has gained extensive experience in a wide variety of legal issues relating to business, property and estate planning areas of law. He has provided legal advice to many small and medium business enterprises in various types of matters concerning their business and legal issues.

Wills & Estate Planning

John has dealt with many complex issues in wills and estates. On occasions, he has been appointed by the Supreme Court to administer, or assist with the administration of complex estates pending the outcome of challenges to wills.

Those administrations have involved not only the assets of the deceased but also companies, family trusts and superannuation funds controlled by the deceased.

Property & Business Law

In property and business matters, John has advised on and established business structures including trusts and companies. He has arranged leases and property transactions as well as advising business owners on contractual issues. He carries out property conveyancing transactions, which are now all electronic. Daenke Lawyers is a registered user of PEXA, the online property and conveyancing system.

John is able to quickly identify critical legal issues and suggest solutions which are both commercial and practical. He is known for his ability to analyse and identify core issues and offer strategic and tactical advice.

In any litigation he is recognised for his ability to fight but also to seek common-sense solutions. He has been involved in many mediations to reach a desired outcome for his client; keeping them away from expensive trials. There is a growing area of disputes over wills and estates and John has acted in many of these matters.

Many of his clients have been with him for many years. Many other solicitors refer complex work to John recognising his expertise and experience.

As well as serving on a number of Law Society Committees and Boards of not-for-profit organisations, John has spoken at numerous conferences and seminars and published articles on areas of law relating to his comprehensive experience.

John has been the Honorary Solicitor for Tennis SA, the peak tennis body in SA, for over 35 years. When presenting him with a service award in 2016, Tennis SA recognised his work as follows:
